2026 RI Gift Guide for Artsy People
Hello and happy November art lovers! I hope we're all cozying down and getting ready for the holiday season (we're definitely ready for all your Christmas frame projects *wink wink*). But this blog is not all about us! We know you know you can come to us for high-quality printed & framed photos made & wrapped in time for the holidays, but other gifts and stocking stuffers for art lovers can be a little more challenging! So, this blog is a guide written by and for artists for local gifts that can go along with your shiny new frames. Of course, stick around towards the end of the blog for gift ideas to get from our shop too!

Gifts for the Artist you Love:
1. Consider purchasing a gallery* or museum membership for your artist to support their practice (i.e Wickford Art Association, Providence Art Club, or RISD).
-
- Saves them money on applying to exhibitions & artist markets
- Gives them a stable source of marketing from a well-known gallery.
- If it's a membership to a museum, for example, they get to see exhibitions & attend events for free!
**Be sure to do your research first to see if a gallery might be a good fit for your artist's needs!
2. Ask your Artist what supplies they're low on
-
- Most of us don't need new shiny things to lose in the studio, but we do often need a refill on our favorite paints and pencils!
- If your artist participates in a lot of artist markets, ask if they need a new batch of business cards or a refresh on table decor.
3. Get them their favorite artist's art book
-
- Show's your artist that you pay attention to their niche interests and style.
- Acts as a great tool for learning to the artist (as well as a cute coffee-table book).
- Good quality art books can often be found in museums or local book shops! (I recently saw an amazing collection of art books at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem MA)
4. Buy them tickets to a museum they've never been to (points if it's an out-of-state or international location!)
-
- Artists thrive on new experiences-- especially when sourcing ideas for future projects-- so introducing them to new environments or artists can be very meaningful to them.
- Who doesn't love a surprise vacation?!

Gifts for the Art-Lover you care about:
1. Consider an art curation session for your home with a gallerist who will help you style your space (like with Candita Clayton Galleries, right in our store!)
-
- Candita will put together a document of artworks & sculptures in her collection that match your tastes and budget.
- Once works are chosen, Candita brings the works to your home to see if you like them in the space.
- Once you say your "yeses!" Candita installs the artwork for you!
2. Attend artist / farmer's markets over the course of the next two months to source art prints (of which you can frame with us *wink wink*), cute jewelry, and fun trinkets made by local artists.
